Build fine motor muscles while learning to count with paper clips

I am always trying to look for ways to incorporate building fine motor skills into our learning centers.  This activity does just this.   The object of this activity is to clip the correct number of paperclips onto each card as well as to match the color of the paperclip with the color of the card.  This allows for building of fine motor muscles while learning to count.

Math activitives learn to count with numbers and paperclips

Later on in the year we repeat this center activity but this time I write addition sentences on the papers.  The kids use the paper clips to represent the question and count and the paper clips to come up with the sum.  The kids love this activity and it is super easy to prep.
